A Simple Sinner

This article only repeats and echoes the sentiments I have been hearing for years - orders, diocese and monastic communities that WANT vocations because they believe IN the vocation (from the leadership to the "rank & file") GET vocations. Those that do not, do not get vocations.

IT is so remarkable in its simplicity it is easy for elistists and dissenters to scorn it for being "juvenile" or "childish"... but that is only because it is SO SIMPLE any juvenile or child COULD understand it!

Bishops who insist on orthodoxy and demand it from their priests get orthodox priests. Orthodox priests who preach orthodoxy and do what they can to foster, encourage and support the laity in orthodox lives produce orthodox vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, monasticism AND the TRUE vocation of Catholic family life! Being a Catholic husband or wife, a Catholic mother or father, IS a vocation. Bishops need Catholic families to foster and encourage aspirations to orders and consecrated life. Catholic families need orthodox bishops to give them good priests... it is a cycle.

Some Day

Take the Heralds of the Gospel, they got tons of vocations. In fact, I think they are the only ones in the world that have problems with where to put vocations than to get vocations. Why? They start young. In this world, by middle school, they've done it all. Our seminarians have many times done it all. So do as the Heralds do. Do apostolate before they are so full of vice and sin. They have programs for youth as young as 9. They have 300 students in just ONE of their minor seminaries. And by minor, I mean High School + seminary, not just the one after high school. Bishops now opted to "see the world"approach. They tell them to finish high school in their schools, which looks more like a whorehouse these days, then go to college and discirn while your partying. DUH, that is why you got no vocations. And then the ones you have, you instead of stimulating their spritual life, you make them into excelent CEO's of your parishes. I rarely see priests in the B.Sacrament, praying the Rosary or even doing their duty to pray the Liturgy of the Hours.
You know the tree by its fruits.

A Simple Sinner

"Heralds of the Gospel" are new to me... I checked out there webpage and the first thing that caught my eye and REALLY impressed me was the fact they had an ARABIC version of the website. I love it.

The second thing I noticed was a link that said "Pray for me" A place where a person can type his or her intentions and email them off to these folks. I loved that too!

I do not know much about this group, but I will certainly look more into them!
