I love this icon! This is, I believe, the famous Russian icon "Tenderness". I love it because it reminds me how close Our Lady always is to Our Lord.
It also makes me think of that scene in the Passion where the Blessed Mother seeks out Jesus and puts her cheek down on the stone floor where he is chained to the ceiling below. She is so tender about the whole thing and it reminds me where she is, He will be also.

I want to thank you Jesus, for all you have done for me - every day in my life from the day I was born to this day. Today, especially I thank you for your earthly mother, my mother, the blessed Virgin Mary. Her love, her devotion and her dedication to us all. While I pray that my prayers are answered, I'd like to share the following novena. Say it for 3 days, and publish it, and your request shall be granted.
(Never Known To Fail)
Oh, most beautiful flower of Mount Carmel, fruitful vine, splendor of Heaven.
Blessed Mother of the Son of God; Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity.
Oh, Star of the Sea, help me and show me you are my Mother.
Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to succour me in my necessity. (Mention your request here).
There are none that can withstand your power.
Oh, Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. (3 times).
Holy Mary, I place this prayer in your hands. (3 times).
Say this prayer for 3 consecutive days and then you must publish it and it will be granted to you.
