Jason Whitlock is RIGHT ON THE MONEY here. It really upsets me when people become so polarized on these "sensitive" issues that they can't seem to think rationally. You can say what Imus said was wrong without being a hypocrite for "supporting" rap music and "siding" with Sharpton and Jackson. You can say the whole thing was blown out of proportion without being a "fan" of Imus or a racist.

I'd like to shake Whitlock's hand personally. He's SO right. Sharpton and Jackson are making their careers on dividing and conquering, just like so many others these days.

Jason Whitlock is only saying what he's saying to get paid. He knows that the mainstream media uses Sharpton and Jackson as pinatas to sell their various news products to pin heads. He knows the "fact" that neither Sharpton nor Jackson led the charge to have Imus fired. He knows that Bryan Monroe, President of the National Association of Black Journalists was the first organization that called for Imus' dismissal before anyone else and that Sharpton and Jackson simply supported the NABJ position. Why want Jason Whitlock acknowlegde this fact? Because he's playing the game to further his career. He knows that the mainstream media uses Sharpton and Jackson as pinatas. Sharpton and Jackson have done things in the past that were stupid and it's easy to debunk any position they take by simply bringing up mistakes they've made in the past. Jason Whitlock you sly dog... make that money man! By the way we're expecting a huge donation from you at the next NABJ function... LOL!
