Well, if she says she prays for him, then I'll believe her. However, if one is actively praying for someone, then I'm not sure that one should always seem to undermine that person at every chance.

I find it curious that she "prays for the children" all the time, also. Would unborn children fall into that category? Somehow I don't think they do.

you know, i really do like this blog's coverage of traditional roman catholic doctrines and culture, but sometimes it seems way too eager to toe the party line, so to say, when it branches out into politics.

The war in Iraq is not a just war, and was never supported by the Catholic Church. Yet this blog endorses, via reposting, propoganda stories from FOX "news."

Did the poster not notice the propoganda? The poll says that independants were more likely to say a U.S. loss would be beneficial to the world, but the headline still smashed democrats. And of course, the picture along with the story is a happy-go-lucky child adorning a U.S. soldier with gifts.

Too often this blog assumes that the Catholic Church's moral agenda is equivalent to the Republican Party's political agenda, when often quite the opposite is true.

How could the world possibly be better off if America lost the war? An American loss would mean a free ticket for terrorists, and no one, anywhere, would be safe. If the terrorists can't be stopped, then appeasement will be the rule of the day, until the entire world is living under sharia law. This is better off? Not in my book. ...-

Pelosi praying for the President (who she trashes daily) and for children (who she condones killing daily) is a political evil-master but NOT an ethical Catholic.

As for the War in Iraq, it was necessary. Absolutely. If the liberal secular Press has been allowed their paper/blog stupid-speak during WWll we'd all be speaking German. As it is now, with the liberal press leading the way, gather up your blue cloth girls and start sewing those burkas.

The one consolation will be in the Islamic-run state the liberal journalists will have their fingers (first offense) then their heads (2nd offense) cutoff the first time they don't agree with the government. Then they'll all be finally gone. Oh, wait, too late . . . they'll have already doomed us all. POWER WITHOUT ETHICS OR COMMON SENSE IS WHAT THE LIBERAL PRESS HAS AS IT LEADS US TO OUR DESTRUCTION AND THE END OF WESTERN SOCIETY.

Nancy Pelosi likes to call herself a Catholic and attempts to use her faith to capture the Catholic vote, but don't be fooled. She stands for abortion and the perversion that goes on at San Francisco's Folsom Street Fair, where public indecency and outright homosexual acts go on as the San Francisco police stand by and do nothing. As reported on the Americans for Truth website, http://americansfortruth.com/index.php
many of these acts go on in front of children. I hope she's praying really hard for these children!

Excuse me? There was no terrorist presence in Iraq until the United States dropped the ball after the overthrow of Saddam Hussein.

Hussein was a horrible dictator, sure, but his state was secure. Removing him would have been a moral decision, but what has happened since may be worse than what happened under his reign, which makes his overthrow unjust according to Just War Theory.

Amazing how redneck and conservative you people are, and how hateful this site has become.

The problem here is none of you are christ-like. You shed your doctrine and shove it down people's throat. Nancy is pro-choice as she feels it is a women's decision, but would not do it personally.

Our country was founded on freedom of religion and yet the conservatives here and others in the US, who are all Christian try to shove your value system down our throats and condemn everyone in your way.

Very much unchristian. Jesus taught us to love all people but did not go to attempts to drag people down.

Shame on you.

Joe Richmond:

So you’re saying that while Nancy Pelosi may not be able to stomach killing unborn children herself, she’s open and liberal-minded enough to say, “Hey, but if you feel like butchering a baby or two, don’t let my moral qualms stop you!” People ought to be able to decide for themselves, right? Killing should be a personal decision. What’s a few million unborn children’s lives, after all?

If a human life is inconvenient, or unwanted, just kill it! Life is cheap!

Joe, you’re in good company with your vicious view of human life. Say hello to Adolf Hitler, Joe Stalin and Mao, to name but a few.

The Jesus I know doesn’t condone killing, even if the baby has the audacity to be due right when you’re planning to go on a cruise or have the kitchen remodeled.

Politicians who call themselves Catholic but do not follow the teachings of the Catholic Church are liars, far worse than "No new taxes" kinds of liars to boot.

A step further, it is impossible to be a Catholic and NOT believe what the Catholic Church teaches, including its teachings on abortion and sodomy.

Because the DNC has made it impossible for Catholics to run for office as a democrat and hold any opinion other that "choice" (ie. murder)then it will only be natural, and obligatory, for right minded Catholics to stand up and speak the truth. This blog does a wonderful job of that.

The way I see it, its not pro RNC but anti DNC and it has very little, if nothing, to do with politics.

Well I am glad that she prays for the born children, unfortunate that those unborn children are apparently not worthy of her prayers. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us
