Hannibal took 37 elephants over the Alps..
1. Although tough Elephants skin is very
2. Elephants can get to cold & freeze.
3. Herbivores, they eat for 16 hours of
the day.
4. They eat 140-270 kg (300-600)lb of food
a day.
5. Eating snow & ice gives them a belly ache
& diarrhoea.
6. They experience Musth at regular
intervals & for prolonged times, it's
like being on heat & they are dangerous
& you can't do a thing with them.
7. Only male elephants can be used for war.
8. Elephants miss their family & get
miserable & morbid & fall into
depression & lay down & die.
The Story of Hannibal & The Elephants is a Big Fat Lie, a Fiction.
The Ottoman did such a small country take over & rule 1/2 the world ????
Is it also a lie......??????
& what else has fed up to us as truth & jet it was an opportunistic lie ?
We are led to believe that mankind is a warring being by nature, but who & what are we really.13.7 billion is a great number & we have been fooled again & again .

We study proximate causes, in general in science we're not interested in the ultimate reality. We're explaining processes. The Pope's words are spot on.

Rosie Davis

Proximate man?
Science is not interested in ultimate reality.
Sorry but you are WRONG.
The $$$'s are in ultimate reality, man.
Every one wants to go their surely ?/! after all research costs such big bucks, man.
I am not a scientist however I am not stupid either.
You can not explain processes with out first reaching some real outcome/truth/end/destination.
For, my good man, you are therefore doing only "pie in the sky," alas!
P.S. "a note to the editor,"
Great cut job you do.

James M Essig

An interstellar propulsion physicist with a rather ordinary academic background sits at his desk this evening perhaps a little insecure about posting a thread on his website about the lexocographical plausibility of space craft capable of infinite time dilation factors. He perhaps is working under the influence of a full days supply of Coke Zero and is feeling somewhat confident that some folks will read his post and perhaps take notice of it if only in a very transient manner at first when he eventually publishes the post.

As much as this 49 year old physicist would like to think of himself as important, perhaps he is oblivious to the possibility that he along with the entire Heavens of which his Catholic Church is a part is but a mere flicker of a vacuum state quantum like fluctuation within a sea of creation so utterly vast in extent and variety that its magnitude in these respects cannot ever be definitively abstractly labeled.

However, as fleeting as this yet awesomely complicated quantum-like fluctuation is, it too has eternal significance and endurance just as assuredly as everything has a purpose and an ultimate destiny. In GOD’s eternal plans, nothing is left out and the totality of everything that can exist but does not yet exist is potentially indefinably and unimaginably greater in extent, numbers, and variety than any and all of current creation combined. After all, no matter how large any set is, any finite or any infinite number of elements or objects can always be added to it.

I live out my middle aged years hunched over a keyboard trying to comprehend the vastness of GOD’s creative power which is commensurate with what HE has created thus far, and the potentially utterly indefinably much larger and more varied set of creatures HE has yet to create. Since GOD can always create any finite or any infinite number of creatures in an instant, creation is an eternally open endeavor by GOD and can never come to a completion because GOD is a loving megalomaniac when it comes to creation. GOD’s power to create and to do good is ALL MIGHTY in scope and GOD will not be outdone by our imagination.

The Vatican hosted a conference on the possibilities and ramifications of extra-terrestrial life on other planets last year, and so in a sense, the irrevocable consideration of such a possibility has been inalterably set for the open minded faithful.

GOD loves HIS creation and so we should do our part by fostering the study of science and technology in all of its good forms under the guiding principles of pro-life authentic Catholic Teaching and Doctrine. We must not fear science and technology for authentic science and authentic faith cannot conflict. However, science and the Big Bang Theory and even Chaotic Inflationary Theory seem to suggest Humanity’s utter smallness in the eternal Divine Economy of GOD’s agenda for creation.

Now creation depends on GOD who creates it, but since creatures are real, whether accidental creations or first principle creations, all creatures because they exist and are real share such ontological parameters and thus have a common solidarity with all of the other creatures and even with GOD HIMSELF, even at the level of the creatures' natural created existence.

For those of you who think I am delving into new age pantheism here, I hold inalterably to the authentic teaching and traditions of the Catholic Church. Yet I am awed by the Grandeur of it all and GOD would have it be no other way for me.

If your lover made you a precious gift, would she or he not want you to accept it and cherish it and also be greatly thankful for it. Thus, we likewise should cherish each other and each moment of the day, so that we can better prepare ourselves for the eternal banquette that awaits us. For just as assuredly as the new Catechism of the Catholic Church states that we will have access to the wonders of creation for all eternity, and since creation can always be added to, GOD’s DIVINE ECONOMY is forever open ended. GOD indeed will not be outdone in HIS Creative Might and Intellect by our finite imaginations.

I often make nightly visits to the Perpetual Adoration Chapel at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church in Annandale Virginia and upon walking in and out of the Chapel under many of star lit midnight skies, I have come to see my utter smallest with respect to the rest of GOD’s creation and I am now at peace with this reality knowing that I too have a mysterious purpose in all of this as you do also. After all, there is a mysterious solidarity within and among all that exists including created and Divine realities, that is, within and among all GOD’s creatures including you and me, and among THE THREE PESRONS OF THE HOLY TRINITY AND THE ETERNAL TRIUNE GODHEAD HIMSELF, THRICE HOLY.

This reality dawned on my anew this past Advent as I heard the following song on my car radio a few days before Christmas. The lyrics of this beautiful song are well known and are as follows.

We three kings of Orient are
Bearing gifts we traverse afar.
Field and fountain, moor and mountain,
Following yonder star.

O star of wonder, star of night,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect Light.

Born a king on Bethlehem's plain,
Gold I bring to crown Him again,
King forever, ceasing never
Over us all to reign.

O star of wonder, star of night,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect Light.

Frankincense to offer have I.
Incense owns a Deity nigh.
Prayer and praising all men raising,
Worship Him, God on high.

O star of wonder, star of night,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect Light.

Myrrh is mine: Its bitter perfume
Breaths a life of gathering gloom.
Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding dying,
Sealed in the stone-cold tomb.

O star of wonder, star of night,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect Light.

Glorious now behold Him arise,
King and God and Sacrifice.
Alleluia, alleluia!
Sounds through the earth and skies.

O star of wonder, star of night,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect Light

The above star can in a sense, also represent that eternally distant Omega Point for our cosmos and indeed for all creation which remains mysterious into the depths of future eternity, a creation for which we will have access to the wonders of for all eternity according to the new Catechism of the Catholic Church and its Second or Revised Version. Creation is mysterious because it is not GOD who is the absolute sum of all reality but GOD and creation combined. Creation in some sense represents growth in the set composed of all reality. GOD’s ultimate plans regarding creation remain a mystery in the present era.

The “Star with royal beauty bright” is that eternal beacon of progress with respect to creation and its evolution and ontological, existential, and accidental growth and in numbers of elements, a growth that will forever continue. How much greater the DIVINE LIGHT OF GOD'S INTELLECT for designing it.

Q:- for James M Essig.......
James are you the 49 year old physicist?
if so ...
James what goes bump in the night ?
I know that things do......
& what is it that we get a glimpse of
in peripheral vision ?/!.. a guardian
angel perhaps?
I know that they are there.
James it will be the physicists of today
& tomorrow who will bring us the
address of God in Heaven.
God is a mathematical genius,a
physicist, an industrial chemist even,
albeit with a goofy sense of humor.
Look at us & know that all this is true.
God gave us brains for us to
GET EDUCATED & find home.
Enlightenment ... Understanding ...
The Conscience Mind ...

James M Essig

What do you anticipate your decendants will be doing in the year 20000000000. Better yet, since most humans believe in an afterlife, and since Catholics believe in the Ressurectioin of the Body on the Last Day, what would you like to be doing or like to see happening on your 1,000,000,000,000 EXP 1,000,000,000,000 birthday.

Well, on your 1,000,000,000,000 EXP 1,000,000,000,000 birthday, you will have absolutely no less years then when you first were born. Oddly enough, the number of future years you will have left then is unlimited in the most absolute sense and perhaps in some mysterious manner superabounds by multiplicative amounts of super-infinite numbers for each Planck Time Unit of your life into all eternity. Note that the Planck Time Unit is very small indeed at only Tp = 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000539 seconds. In short, your life in the Post Ressurection Era can never end but will forever grow with superabounding opportuinities.

As for me, I want to explore the wonders of all creation for all eternity and also to love creation in each and every one of its elements and foster the growth of creation for all eternity as just one of an unlimited numbers of its stewards.

But to love creation especially rational creatures is to understand them at ever deeper levels. To this end, theological discourse and modern science including but not limited to theoretical physics and cosmology working together can help.

Now I do no want to nor do I intend to replace love of GOD with love of nature, but being a gentle and nurturing steward of creatures is what I am all about.

I am a big and bulky middle aged conservative guy who wears his hair short, and so some folks might be surprised upon first meeting me expecting that I should be a macho gun owning red neck from Virginia USA, however nothing could be further from the truth.

My disposition is one of a highly nurturing personality and temperament, and part of this has been acquired through my work as an inventor and physicist, both aspects of my professional life of which have lead me to a more conscious respect for the physical world, and also the spiritual world of angels, human souls, and GOD knows what else.

IMHO, scientific knowledge of creation need not make us cold and atheistic, but rather can make us more profoundly Catholic.

I am not trying to state my moral high ground here, as in fact, although I attend the Sacrament of Confession about once every 3 weeks, and attend mass on most days, I will only receive communion about once or twice per month. I am mindfull of how often I can fall into sin, perhaps even serious sin, and so the reader need not be annoyed with any false notion that I think I am somehow a Saint. I would like to become one, but I have a great and hard road ahead of me before that could ever happen.

The point is, we are stewards of creation, but in order to be better stewards, we need to understand creation all the more extensively, and science can help in this regard.
